Seasoned Language Specialist

My main working areas are translation, proofreading, editing, and app localization. However, I’m interested in shifting to the more techy side of the force. I’ve just completed the European Master’s in Technology for Translation and Interpreting, for which I was awarded a full scholarship (em-tti.eu). I am interested in pursuing technical writing roles, PM positions, and AI writing/evaluation.

Placement completed within the EM TTI Master’s program, in the Operations and Customer Delivery department. I worked as an Operations Manager (OM), under the supervision of senior OMs: allocating resources for Interprefy’s events, keeping track of projects, and understanding the company’s complete workflow/cycle and clients’ needs.

Editing, proofreading, and refining educational content and college application essays to meet top business program standards. I ensure grammatical precision, coherent narratives, and compelling contexts for students’ applications

Performing translation, review, and linguistic sign-off of company documents, such as annual reports, training, contracts, technical manuals and technical training, HR communications, business cases, and company policies, among others; assisting with the department’s project management; leading the creation and implementation of an improved project tracking/management system through Lean Six Sigma methodology; working with peers on the adoption of the new PM tool; technical writing, creation and maintenance of SOPs and translation and localization best practices; assistance in hiring and interviewing; support to Portuguese language assessments for other company areas assessing candidates with
Portuguese skills; active participation on the creation/development of the new translation department, listening to stakeholders and building rapport to understand their translation needs.

provided support to clients of partner companies in English and Portuguese via email using ZenDesk. Later, I was changed to a Content Assistant position, writing, reviewing, and updating help center articles, fixing broken links, and keeping track of updates to the help center.
