Engineering Manager (Infrastructure & IT)

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Infrastructure Manager to lead and inspire our IT Operations and Infrastructure teams. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, scalability, and optimization of our IT infrastructure, driving operational efficiency and company growth. You will be responsible for shaping the infrastructure strategy, overseeing daily operations, and fostering a collaborative and technically excellent environment within the teams.

About the Team

The IT Operations and Infrastructure teams are fundamental to our organization’s functioning, ensuring the availability and performance of our systems and services. We work closely with various departments, including development, security, and business, to provide a robust and adaptable infrastructure that meets the company’s needs. What You’ll Do

Within 3 months, you will:

• Conduct a thorough assessment of our current IT infrastructure and operational processes to identify areas for improvement.

• Understand and start execution of defined goals and roadmap for infrastructure and IT operations team.

• Strengthen our team efficiency processes and refine infrastructure monitoring capabilities.

• Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders across development, security, and business functions.

Within 6 months, you will:

• Implement best-in-class infrastructure management practices and policies, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Optimize IT operations workflows, focusing on automation and continuous improvement.

• Enhance our infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection and resolution.

• Develop a scalable IT infrastructure plan to support future growth and business demands.

Within 9 months, you will:

• Lead initiatives to improve infrastructure resilience and disaster recovery capabilities.

• Advance our cloud infrastructure strategy and ensure efficient management of cloud resources.

• Continuously evaluate and improve our infrastructure performance and capacity planning processes.

• Drive innovation in IT operations and infrastructure management, leveraging automation and modern technologies.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in IT infrastructure management, including IT Operations and team leadership.

• Leadership experience in managing and developing technical teams.

• Strong knowledge of both on-premise and cloud infrastructure architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.

• Experience with infrastructure monitoring, automation, and management tools.

• Understanding of security best practices as applied to IT infrastructure.

• Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.

• Experience in managing budgets and vendors related to IT infrastructure.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with various stakeholders.

• Strategic thinking and the ability to translate business requirements into infrastructure solutions.

• Relevant certifications in cloud infrastructure management (AWS, GCP, Azure, PMP, CISSP) or ITIL are a plus.
