Workday Analyst – Full Remote

To provide complex technical support, administration, testing, and maintenance of HRIS systems mainly Workday including system enhancements /configurations, business as usual, system auditing, managing setup tables and security; to collaborate with internal business COE stakeholders and vendor consultants to ensure that system requirements are met. Looking for a functional lead in Workday Compensation and someone who also is able to work across other functional areas such as Time & Absence and Payroll. This role will be remote based across Spain and/or Portugal and will report into a UK based Line Manager.

Primary Purpose: 

To lead the technical configuration, support & maintenance, and the day-to-day functional and technical activities required to maintain Workday and other CR related systems and applications to ensure business objectives are met. To work closely with the leader of HRIS/CR Operations, Total Rewards and the third party AMS/TMS vendor on technical/functional needs of the organization while maximizing the functionality of Workday to streamline and automate as many business processes as possible.

  • Reviews Workday modules predominantly Compensation as well as changes/updates to current modules and processes.
  • Act as a functional lead for Workday Compensation & Advanced Compensation modules
  • Identifies future Workday system enhancements or functionality that may be beneficial to the organization.
  • Provides support for CR systems including researching technical issues, unexpected results or process flaws and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet system and workflow requirements.
  • Partners with various departments to understand business needs, communicates system capabilities/limitations, and translates into system design.
  • Maintains change management documentation to satisfy audit controls and compliance best practices.
  • Manages ongoing configuration, design, maintenance and implementation of the human capital management application in Workday including developing configuration specification documentation.
  • Participates in the review, testing and implementation of bi-annual Workday releases and other system releases or patches; determines impact, participates in regression testing for new system features and communicates changes/benefits to end users.
  • Ensures that procedures are followed and that adequate internal controls are maintained.
  • Works on special projects as assigned.
  • Automates internal auditing tasks by leveraging Workday reporting.

Additional Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization’s quality program(s).
  • Travels as required.

Qualifications:

Education & Licensing

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience

Eight (8) years HRIS or technical systems experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Advanced logic and configuration skills to implement new Workday functionality, improve existing functionality, and create custom reports or integrations while incorporating ”Best Practices”
  • Ability to support all aspects of Workday including configurations, business processes, security, reporting, and data integrity
  • Ability to collaborate across the business to ensure understanding of system needs to assess priorities and developing solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and interpretive skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reports
