I am writing to express my strong interest in the Senior Program Manager position at ManTech. With over 10 years of experience managing complex federal programs, I bring a proven track record of delivering strategic oversight, Agile governance, and measurable ROI for DHS and other agencies. My PMP certification and expertise in Jira, MS Project, and Azure DevOps align perfectly with the requirements.

I am particularly drawn to ManTech’s mission of protecting national infrastructure and its commitment to innovation. I have successfully led multi-task projects, mentored teams, and managed stakeholder relationships to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. I am confident in my ability to drive excellence and serve as a strategic partner for your federal customer.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my leadership and program management skills can contribute to ManTech’s continued success.

Can you describe your experience managing federal contracts, particularly with DHS or similar agencies?
I have over 10 years of experience managing federal contracts, including a 5-year engagement with DHS where I oversaw a $50M program. I ensured compliance with FAR regulations, managed subcontractors, and delivered on all contractual milestones.
How do you ensure Agile practices are effectively implemented in a large-scale program?
I establish clear Agile governance by defining Scrum ceremonies, using Jira for backlog management, and conducting regular sprint reviews. I also mentor teams on Agile principles and adapt practices to fit the program's needs while maintaining alignment with customer goals.
Describe a time you managed a high-stakes stakeholder relationship. How did you handle conflicting priorities?
In a previous role, a federal customer wanted rapid delivery while the team needed more time for testing. I facilitated a joint workshop to prioritize features, agreed on phased delivery, and provided regular ROI reports. This built trust and resulted in a successful deployment.
What strategies do you use to mentor and develop your project teams?
I conduct regular one-on-ones, create individual development plans, and assign stretch assignments. I also host weekly knowledge-sharing sessions and encourage certifications. This approach has led to high retention and promotion rates within my teams.
How do you track and report program performance to executive leadership?
I use tools like MS Project and Jira to track schedule, budget, and risks. I provide monthly dashboards with key metrics, including earned value, milestone status, and ROI. I also hold quarterly reviews to discuss strategic adjustments and ensure alignment with customer objectives.
