E-Discovery Relativity Litigation Support Data Preservation ESI Project Management Legal Technology EDRM Communication Chain of Custody

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the E-Discovery Specialist position at Axiom. With over 3 years of experience managing electronic discovery workflows, including proficiency in Relativity and a strong grasp of the EDRM, I am confident in my ability to support your litigation and investigations efficiently.

In my previous role, I coordinated data preservation, processing, and production for multiple complex cases, ensuring compliance with court rules and client specifications. I thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with legal teams and IT to troubleshoot technical issues and maintain chain of custody records.

I am particularly drawn to Axiom's flexible model and commitment to professional growth. I look forward to contributing to your team and delivering high-quality results. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely, [Your Name]

Describe your experience with Relativity. What specific features have you used for data processing and review?
I have used Relativity extensively for processing, reviewing, and producing documents. I am proficient in creating workspaces, setting up search indexes, applying redactions, and managing review batches. I have also used Relativity for analytics and assisted in troubleshooting technical issues.
How do you prioritize and manage multiple e-discovery projects with tight deadlines?
I use project management tools like MS Project to track timelines and deliverables. I break down tasks, set milestones, and communicate regularly with stakeholders. I also prioritize based on urgency and complexity, ensuring resource allocation aligns with deadlines.
Can you walk me through your process for data preservation and collection?
I start by identifying data sources with legal teams, then implement legal holds via litigation hold letters. For collection, I use forensic tools to image devices or collect cloud data, documenting chain of custody. I verify the integrity of collected data and ensure metadata is preserved.
How do you ensure compliance with court rules and regulatory requirements during production?
I review the specific court rules or regulatory guidelines for each case. During processing, I apply appropriate date filters, deduplication, and privilege logs. I also create load files in required formats and conduct quality checks before production.
Describe a time you worked with attorneys and IT to resolve a technical issue in the review environment.
In one case, the review platform had slow performance due to high volume. I coordinated with IT to optimize server settings and indexed fields. I also trained reviewers on best practices to reduce load, which improved speed and met the deadline.
