Dear Hiring Manager,

I am excited to apply for the Senior Fullstack Engineer position at Truelogic. With over 5 years of experience in .NET, React, and Umbraco CMS, I have successfully delivered scalable web solutions in fast-paced agency environments. My background includes building REST APIs, integrating CMS platforms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation.

In my previous role, I led the development of a content-driven website for a major enterprise client, leveraging .NET Core and Umbraco to create a maintainable architecture that improved page load times by 40%. I am comfortable working independently while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

I am particularly drawn to this part-time opportunity as it allows me to contribute to impactful projects while maintaining flexibility. I am eager to bring my technical expertise and collaborative spirit to Truelogic and help deliver high-quality solutions for your clients. Thank you for considering my application.

Sincerely, [Your Name]

Describe your experience with Umbraco CMS. How have you integrated it with .NET backend services?
I have worked with Umbraco on several enterprise projects, using it as a headless CMS or fully integrated. For example, I built a custom Umbraco package that exposed content via REST APIs, consumed by a React frontend. I also extended Umbraco with custom controllers and surface controllers to handle complex business logic.
How do you approach code quality and maintainability in a fast-paced agency environment?
I prioritize writing clean, modular code with proper separation of concerns. I use design patterns like Repository and Unit of Work, follow SOLID principles, and enforce code reviews. In an agency setting, I ensure thorough documentation and automated testing to allow for quick iterations without sacrificing quality.
Can you give an example of a challenging full-stack feature you implemented from scratch?
I once built a custom search functionality with faceted filters for an e-commerce client. On the backend, I implemented a .NET Core API that integrated with Elasticsearch. On the frontend, I used React to dynamically update the UI based on filter selections. Optimizing query performance and handling real-time updates was challenging.
How do you handle technical debt when working on multiple client projects simultaneously?
I advocate for including refactoring tasks in each sprint to prevent debt from accumulating. When starting a new project, I assess the existing codebase and suggest improvements. I also use tools like SonarQube to identify issues. Balancing client demands with quality requires transparent communication about trade-offs.
Describe your experience with CI/CD pipelines. How do you ensure smooth deployments in an agency setting?
I have set up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for .NET and React applications. This includes automated build, test, and deployment to staging and production. I also implement feature flags and blue-green deployments to minimize downtime. In agency work, I ensure the pipeline is flexible enough to handle frequent client feedback cycles.
