Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the Salesforce Technical Architect position at Bright Vision Technologies. With over 10 years of experience in Salesforce architecture and implementation, I have a proven track record of designing scalable solutions across Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds. My expertise includes leading technical governance, establishing best practices for both declarative and programmatic development, and architecting complex integrations using MuleSoft and Salesforce APIs. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your in-house SOW delivery roadmap and drive innovation for your clients. Thank you for considering my application.

Describe your experience with Salesforce multi-org strategies and how you would approach designing an architecture for a large enterprise with multiple Salesforce instances.
I have architected multi-org environments for global enterprises, focusing on data isolation, integration patterns, and shared services. My approach involves assessing business needs, defining a hub-and-spoke or federated model, and using tools like Salesforce Connect and Platform Events to integrate while minimizing data redundancy. I also establish clear governance for change management and sandbox strategies across orgs.
How do you decide between declarative and programmatic approaches in Salesforce? Can you give an example?
The decision depends on complexity, performance, and maintainability. For simple automation, I prefer declarative tools like Flow and Process Builder. For complex business logic or computational tasks, I use Apex. For example, I once faced a requirement for real-time inventory updates across systems; I chose Apex with asynchronous processing to handle the volume and complexity, while using Flow for simple approval processes.
Explain your approach to Salesforce security architecture, including how you handle field-level security, permission sets, and sharing rules in a large-scale org.
I start by defining data sensitivity and access requirements through stakeholder interviews. I use a combination of profiles, permission sets, and permission set groups to manage user permissions efficiently. For data sharing, I design a sharing model using sharing rules, manual sharing, and Apex managed sharing where needed, ensuring minimal access while meeting business needs. I also implement OAuth/SSO for secure authentication.
How have you handled large data volumes (LDV) in Salesforce? Describe a specific strategy you implemented.
In a previous role, we had a multi-million record opportunity object. I implemented data archiving using a custom object for historical data, optimized indexes and query filters, and used Skinny Tables for reporting. I also leveraged asynchronous processing and batch Apex to handle data loads without hitting governor limits, and used platform events to avoid polling.
Describe a complex integration you architected using Salesforce APIs. What were the challenges and how did you overcome them?
I architected an integration between Salesforce and an external ERP using MuleSoft and Composite APIs. The challenge was handling real-time inventory updates while ensuring data consistency. I used Change Data Capture to push changes from Salesforce, and MuleSoft for orchestration. We built a retry mechanism with idempotency keys to handle failures, and implemented comprehensive logging for monitoring.

  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through code review, design review, pair programming, and structured knowledge sharing, helping the broader team grow in technical maturity and confidence over time.
  • Produce high-quality architecture artifacts — context diagrams, sequence diagrams, decision records, and reference designs — that capture key technical decisions clearly enough to be understood months or years later.
  • Coordinate with security, compliance, and audit teams to ensure proper controls.
  • Stay current with Salesforce roadmap, Einstein/AI features, and platform innovations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
