Key Skills

Sales Account Management Business Development Pharmaceutical Biotech Dermatology Respiratory Customer Relationship Management Territory Management Travel

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am excited to apply for the Zone Business Associate position at Sanofi-Genzyme. With a BA/BS degree and over 3 years of quota-driven sales experience in the healthcare sector, I have a proven track record of exceeding targets and building strong customer relationships. I thrive in fast-paced environments and am fully willing to travel extensively to cover designated territories.

My ability to quickly learn complex scientific information and adapt to changing circumstances aligns with the demands of this role. I am confident I can contribute to your team's success in promoting Respiratory and Dermatology indications.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my skills can benefit Sanofi-Genzyme.

Describe a time you had to quickly adapt to a new territory or customer base. How did you ensure success?
In my previous role, I was assigned a new territory with little notice. I immediately researched the key accounts and market dynamics, scheduled introductory meetings, and leveraged data to prioritize high-potential providers. Within the first month, I built rapport and achieved 120% of the quarterly target.
How do you stay motivated when faced with frequent travel and changing assignments?
I view travel as an opportunity to experience new environments and challenges. I stay motivated by setting short-term goals for each assignment and focusing on the impact my work has on patients. I also maintain a routine that includes exercise and regular check-ins with my team to stay grounded.
Explain a complex scientific product you had to learn and how you communicated its value to healthcare providers.
When launching a biologic for psoriasis, I studied the mechanism of action and clinical data. I created simple visual aids that highlighted efficacy and safety profiles. During calls, I used plain language and addressed provider concerns by relating the product's benefits to their patients' needs.
This role requires collaboration with multiple internal teams. Give an example of how you effectively collaborated cross-functionally.
I worked with field reimbursement managers to address patient access issues. I coordinated weekly updates and shared customer feedback, which helped resolve barriers quickly. This collaboration led to a 15% increase in prescription uptake in the territory.
How do you handle a situation where you are not meeting your sales targets?
I first analyze my performance data to identify gaps—whether it's call frequency, messaging, or account selection. Then I adjust my business plan, seek coaching from my manager, and focus on high-impact activities. For example, I once shifted to more peer-to-peer events and saw a 20% improvement.
