I built an e-commerce API handling thousands of transactions daily. Challenges included optimizing query performance and ensuring data consistency. I implemented caching with Redis, used Laravel's query builder efficiently, and set up database indexing to reduce load times.
I prefer using Context API for simpler state management and Redux for complex applications with frequent updates across many components. For instance, in a dashboard app, I used Redux for global user data and Context for theme preferences.
I would set up a Cognito User Pool, configure the React frontend using Amazon Cognito Identity SDK to handle sign-up/sign-in, and use the Laravel backend to validate JWT tokens via middleware. I'd also manage token refreshing and secure API routes.
I use EXPLAIN ANALYZE to identify bottlenecks. Once, a join query on large tables was slow because of missing indexes. I added composite indexes on foreign keys and used pagination with keyset pagination instead of offset to speed it up.

We are looking for:
- 6+ years of experience developing web applications.
- 5+ years of experience with Laravel (PHP 8+) (APIs, middleware, Nova admin, testing) and React (TypeScript, Vite, MUI).
- Experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Experience with AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, S3, SES, CloudWatch) deployments and security.
- Experience integrating AWS Cognito authentication (front-end/back-end integration, cookies).
- Strong agile/scrum development experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
