Dear Hiring Manager,

I am excited to apply for the Senior User Acquisition Manager position at Ruby Labs. With over [X] years of experience in performance marketing focused on the Google ecosystem, I have a proven track record of scaling mobile app acquisitions and managing budgets exceeding $500K monthly. My expertise in optimizing KPIs such as ROAS, CPA, and CTR, combined with a data-driven approach, aligns perfectly with your need to drive performance across Google Search, Display, and Demand Gen campaigns.

I have deep experience with analytics platforms like Mixpanel and AppsFlyer, and I thrive in fast-paced environments where collaboration with product and creative teams is key to continuous improvement. I am particularly drawn to Ruby Labs' innovative culture and commitment to building impactful consumer products.

I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to your team and help scale your mobile app to new heights. Thank you for considering my application.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

Describe a time when you successfully scaled a mobile app's user acquisition using Google Ads. What strategies did you employ?
I led a campaign for a subscription app where we initially had a high CPA. I restructured the account using a combination of search, display, and demand gen, focusing on high-intent audiences. We also implemented automated bidding based on LTV. Within three months, we increased spend by 40% while reducing CPA by 20%, achieving a 15% higher ROAS.
How do you approach budget allocation across different Google channels (Search, Display, Demand Gen)?
I start by analyzing historical performance data, focusing on CPA, ROAS, and conversion volume for each channel. I allocate more budget to channels with the highest efficiency but also set aside a portion for experimentation. I constantly monitor and shift budgets based on real-time performance, ensuring we meet overall KPIs.
What metrics do you prioritize when optimizing a User Acquisition campaign?
I prioritize ROAS and CPA as top-line metrics, but I also closely monitor CTR, CPM, and conversion rate. For mobile apps, I track install-to-trial rates and retention to ensure we're acquiring quality users. I also analyze LTV to CAC ratio to ensure long-term profitability.
Can you give an example of a creative hypothesis you tested that significantly improved campaign performance?
I hypothesized that showcasing user testimonials in video creatives would increase trust and conversion rates. We A/B tested this against static image ads. The video testimonials resulted in a 25% higher CTR and a 15% lower CPA. This became our primary creative approach for subsequent campaigns.
How do you stay updated with changes in Google Ads and the mobile acquisition landscape?
I follow industry blogs like Search Engine Land and PPC Hero, participate in Google's beta programs, and attend webinars. I also network with peers in online communities to share insights. Regularly testing new features helps me stay ahead of the curve.
