Dear Hiring Team,

I am writing to express my interest in the Senior Fullstack Engineer position at Zartis. With extensive experience in TypeScript, NestJS, and cloud infrastructure, I have successfully delivered scalable backend solutions in fast-paced environments. My recent projects have involved integrating AI capabilities into production systems, including prompt engineering and model integration, aligning perfectly with the requirements of this role.

I thrive in ambiguous settings and enjoy shaping technical architecture and standards. My collaborative communication style ensures effective teamwork with distributed cross-functional teams. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your client's AI initiative and drive meaningful impact.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to discussing how my skills can benefit Zartis and its clients.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

Describe a time you had to work in an ambiguous environment with evolving requirements. How did you handle it?
In my previous role, we started a project with only high-level goals. I organized regular syncs with stakeholders to clarify priorities, created lightweight prototypes to gather feedback, and iterated based on findings. This approach helped the team stay aligned and deliver a solution that met core needs despite changing specifications.
How have you integrated AI capabilities into a production application?
I worked on a feature that used a language model to generate responses to user queries. I designed a pipeline that preprocessed user input, called the model API with careful prompt engineering, and post-processed the output for formatting. We also implemented caching and fallback logic for reliability.
Describe your experience with NestJS and Prisma. How do you structure services and database access?
I've built several REST APIs using NestJS, organizing code into modules with clear separation of concerns. For database access, I use Prisma with repositories or services that abstract queries. I follow dependency injection patterns and ensure proper error handling and transaction management.
What architectural considerations do you keep in mind when designing a system for scalability?
I consider factors like horizontal scaling, statelessness, database indexing, caching strategies (e.g., Redis), and asynchronous processing for heavy tasks. I also design for fault tolerance with retries and circuit breakers, and ensure monitoring and logging are in place to identify bottlenecks.
How do you stay updated with emerging AI technologies and incorporate them into development workflows?
I follow AI research communities, attend webinars, and experiment with new tools in side projects. For incorporating them, I assess the practical benefit and feasibility, then start with small proofs of concept before integrating into production, always considering trade-offs in cost, latency, and accuracy.

The company and our mission:

Zartis is a global AI transformation and technology consulting partner where talented engineers and technologists work on cutting edge innovation. We partner with ambitious organizations to design, build, and scale technology solutions that deliver real impact.

Our teams bring deep expertise in AI driven platforms, secure API architectures, and cloud native engineering. You will work on meaningful projects that accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies, from strategy and discovery through to full product delivery, helping turn complex challenges into measurable outcomes.

With engineering hubs across EMEA and LATAM, and long term partnerships in financial services, healthcare and life sciences, and energy and climate, we offer opportunities to work on projects that truly matter. Here, you will not just build technology, you will drive business impact and grow your career alongside industry leaders.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on a project in the Logistic industry.

The project:

Our teammates are talented people that come from a variety of backgrounds. We’re committed to building an inclusive culture based on trust and innovation.

You will be part of a distributed, cross-functional team at an exciting and exploratory stage of our client’s AI initiative — helping to shape how AI is architected, integrated, and adopted across the organisation.

We are looking for someone with strong architectural thinking and good communication skills, who is comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, contributing to evolving technical standards, and challenging ideas constructively — rather than simply executing predefined tasks.

What you will do:

  • Design and build robust backend services using TypeScript and NestJS, integrating AI capabilities into existing and new product workflows

  • Work with Prisma and AWS (or equivalent cloud infrastructure) to build scalable, production-grade systems

  • Incorporate AI tooling and prompt engineering into development workflows, going beyond off-the-shelf tools to build purposeful, well-considered AI integrations

  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical standards as the team’s AI approach continues to evolve

  • Help shape how the organisation thinks about and adopts AI-assisted or spec-driven development practices

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across engineering and product, operating effectively in an ambiguous and fast-moving environment.

What you will bring:

  • Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and NestJS in production environments

  • Solid experience with Prisma and cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS or a comparable platform

  • Genuine, practical experience building with AI tooling — this means working with models, integrating prompts into development workflows, and building AI-powered features; not simply using consumer AI products

  • The ability to think architecturally and help shape solutions, rather than waiting for problems to be fully defined

  • Comfort challenging ideas, proposing patterns, and contributing to technical standards discussions

  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to be proactive, collaborative, and direct in a distributed team

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience helping an organisation adopt AI-assisted or spec-driven development practices

  • Familiarity with emerging AI development frameworks and orchestration patterns

  • Experience working in early-stage or exploratory technical initiatives

What we offer:

  • 100% Remote Work

  • WFH allowance: Monthly payment as financial support for remote working.

  • Career Growth: We have established a career development program accessible for all employees with a 360º feedback that will help us to guide you in your career progression.

  • Training: For Tech training at Zartis, you have time allocated during the week at your disposal. You can request from a variety of options, such as online courses (from Pluralsight and Educative.io, for example), English classes, books, conferences, and events.

  • Mentoring Program: You can become a mentor in Zartis or you can receive mentorship, or both.

  • Zartis Wellbeing Hub (Kara Connect): A platform that provides sessions with a range of specialists, including mental health professionals, nutritionists, physiotherapists, fitness coaches, and webinars with such professionals as well.

  • Multicultural working environment: We organize tech events, webinars, parties, and activities to do online team-building games and contests.
