Cover letter sample
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am excited to apply for the Senior Clinical Applications Associate position at Baylor College of Medicine. With over six years of experience in Epic application configuration and support, particularly in Cadence and MyChart, I have successfully led projects that improved patient access and engagement. My hands-on expertise with Hello World and Campaigns has enabled me to design and optimize outreach strategies that achieve measurable results. I am eager to bring my technical and collaborative skills to support BCM's digital front door initiatives and enhance patient communication. Thank you for considering my application.
Sample interview questions
In my previous role, I managed Epic Cadence configuration for multiple clinics. I identified bottlenecks in the scheduling process and redesigned the appointment types and recall protocols, which reduced no-show rates by 15% and improved patient access to providers.
I leveraged Hello World to create targeted campaigns for preventive care reminders. By segmenting patient populations and using personalized messages, we increased campaign response rates by 20% and improved overall patient engagement scores.
I worked closely with Access leadership to implement a new self-scheduling feature. We held joint workshops to understand their needs, mapped workflows, and configured MyChart to allow patients to book appointments online, which reduced call center volume by 30%.
I maintain thorough documentation of all configuration changes and use a structured testing strategy, including regression testing and sandbox validation. I also coordinate with other application teams to ensure cross-functional workflows are not disrupted during upgrades.
I would track key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates. By analyzing these data points, I can identify which patient segments respond best to which messages, and then A/B test variations to refine the campaigns for better outcomes.
