Dear Hiring Team,
I am excited to apply for the Customer & Field Marketing Manager role at PerfectServe. My experience in B2B SaaS marketing has prepared me to build customer-focused programs, equip sales teams with effective enterprise assets, and execute events that create measurable pipeline impact.
- I partner closely with Sales and Customer Success to turn customer outcomes into references, case studies, and expansion opportunities.
- I bring an organized, data-driven approach to event execution, follow-up, ROI measurement, and stakeholder communication.
PerfectServe’s mission to improve clinical communication and reduce provider burden is particularly compelling to me. I would welcome the opportunity to contribute scalable, customer-led marketing programs to your team.
Sample interview questions
I would begin by defining target advocate profiles and use cases with Customer Success and Sales, then identify satisfied customers using adoption, renewal, outcomes, and relationship data. I would create a clear consent process, advocate tiers, engagement preferences, and a centralized system for matching references to opportunities. Success would be measured through reference fulfillment speed, advocate participation, case studies produced, and influenced pipeline.
I align success metrics before the event, including target-account attendance, qualified meetings, opportunity creation, pipeline influenced, cost per meeting, and follow-up completion. I coordinate lead and meeting ownership with Sales, establish service-level expectations for follow-up, and review outcomes at 30-, 60-, and 90-day intervals. I also collect qualitative feedback to improve messaging, booth experience, and attendee targeting.
I would maintain a governed library of approved core materials while reserving customization for strategic opportunities with clear business value. For repeated requests, I would convert successful custom content into reusable templates, modules, or playbooks. This approach keeps sellers responsive without creating inconsistent messaging or unsustainable one-off work.
I would establish recurring planning sessions with Customer Success to identify renewal milestones, expansion-ready accounts, product adoption wins, and customers suitable for advocacy. Together, we would develop targeted communications, proof assets, customer stories, and executive engagement programs tied to account plans. I would track engagement and pipeline influence to understand which programs support net revenue retention.
I would use AI to accelerate first drafts of event briefs, follow-up sequences, content repurposing, audience research, and internal asset discovery, while retaining human review for accuracy, brand voice, customer confidentiality, and healthcare-specific claims. I would use approved tools and avoid entering protected, confidential, or personally identifiable information. The goal is to increase speed and consistency without compromising trust or compliance.

If you’re looking for a well-established, tech-forward company full of smart people doing meaningful work, you’ve found the right place!
The Opportunity
You own two things that are easy to under-invest in and expensive to ignore: the customers we already have, and the rooms where buyers gather. You run customer and expansion marketing in partnership with Customer Success, and you execute the field and event motion that the segment owners scope.
You also own the proof. References, case studies, and advocates are how we win deals and how an acquirer values us. That program is yours to build.
What You’ll Own
Sales enablement
- Build custom sales decks and assets for client engagements, with a focus on enterprise deals.
- Run broader enablement: operationalize the master pitch and battlecards PMM owns, onboard reps to the materials, and keep deal assets current.
- Be the bridge between marketing’s narrative and what reps actually present in the room.
Field and event execution
- Execute the events the segment owners scope and recommend: booth, on-site meetings, and follow-through.
- Own on-site ROI and the pre- and post-event motion with sales and CS.
References, case studies, and advocacy
- Own the reference and advocacy program; recruit advocates and turn outcomes into proof.
- Partner with Content to produce and PMM for the outcome data.
Field enablement
- Own field and event enablement materials in partnership with PMM’s core positioning.
What You Don’t Own
- New-logo demand creation — the segment owners.
- Which events we attend (the thesis) — segment owners decide; you execute.
- Core positioning and battlecards — PMM.
Key Performance Indicators
- Expansion pipeline influenced. Customer and expansion pipeline, with Customer Success.
- Net revenue retention contribution. Marketing’s influence on retention and expansion.
- Event execution ROI. Pipeline and qualified meetings per event, on budget.
- Proof produced. References and case studies created — exit-critical.
- Field contribution to acute pipeline. Field-influenced pipeline supporting the ABM motion.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years in customer marketing, field marketing, or events in B2B SaaS; healthcare IT preferred.
- A program builder who can run events and customer motions at the same time without dropping either.
- Comfort partnering closely with Customer Success and Sales.
- A reference and advocacy track record.
- An AI-first approach to scaling field and customer content.
- Ability to travel up to 25% travel
Nice to Have
- Experience building a customer advocacy or reference program from scratch.
- Experience supporting diligence with customer proof points.
