Yes. I have a physical DirecTV satellite dish installed at my home and can use the relevant setup to complete the assigned streaming-app test tasks.
I would search for or navigate to the assigned title, confirm that it appears as expected, start playback, and observe whether it loads and plays normally. I would document the device, time, steps taken, expected result, actual result, and any error messages or unusual behavior.
I would verify that captions can be enabled and disabled, display at the correct time, remain readable, and stay synchronized with the audio. I would also note missing captions, delayed text, formatting problems, or failures when toggling the feature.
I begin by reviewing the instructions and training materials carefully, then follow each test case exactly and record results objectively. If something is unclear, I would consult the available guidance or ask the testing team before making assumptions.
I would provide concise reproduction steps, expected versus actual behavior, device and environment details, screenshots or recordings when allowed, and the frequency or severity of the issue. This gives the team enough information to verify and investigate the problem efficiently.

For one of our current projects, we are testing out our client’s media streaming app. We are particularly interested in how the app performs in households that use DirecTV Satellite Dishes. If you have one installed at your house, we’d love to hear from you! Prior software testing experience is not a must; we will share materials and free, in-house courses that will get you started.
Payrate: $22 USD / h.
- You will be paid per hour, not per issues/bugs you find on our client’s streaming app. That way, you will get paid even if you don’t find any bugs.

Requirements
- Age: You have to be at least 18 years old.
- Location: Must be physically located in the United States.
- Language: Must be Advanced/ Native in English for communicating with the testing team and reading task instructions.
- Availability: This is a freelance role, and we will try to assign as many working hours as possible. Currently, we’re looking at weekly tasks of 2 to 4 hours per task.
- With an account on our website, you will be able to pick up more work in other projects as well!
- Devices: DirecTV Satellite Dish. At the moment, we’re not looking for just DirecTV subscriptions. We’re looking for participants who have physical DirecTV Satellite Dishes installed at home.
- Experience: Software testing experience is a plus, but if you are new to testing, we offer free courses to help you learn and grow. We offer a preparatory course that will help you learn more about testing on our website.
