Sample interview questions
I would begin by assessing the partner's technical maturity and target use cases, then provide a structured enablement path covering discovery, architecture, demo workflows, evaluation criteria, and executive value messaging. I would use hands-on workshops and a repeatable PoV playbook, initially co-delivering key engagements before transitioning ownership to the partner with clear feedback loops.
I first identify the customer's operational or security outcomes, such as lowering data costs, improving incident response, or increasing visibility. I then connect current data-flow constraints to the relevant architecture capabilities and quantify the expected operational impact using the customer's success criteria.
I prepare hypothesis-driven questions around the current tooling, telemetry sources, routing, retention, governance, operational pain points, and desired outcomes. During the session, I validate technical constraints while aligning on measurable business success criteria, decision process, timeline, and stakeholders.
I would segment the gap into immediate deal support and longer-term capability building. For the active opportunity, I would provide targeted architecture support and establish clear delivery ownership; in parallel, I would create a practical training and certification plan so the partner can progressively own future implementations.
These skills allow me to validate integrations, inspect and transform telemetry, troubleshoot data pipelines, and build realistic demonstrations. They also help me communicate credibly with technical teams and quickly identify issues during workshops, PoVs, and deployments.
