Sample interview questions
I establish clear supervision routines, review objective session data and recordings when appropriate, and use structured virtual observations to provide timely, actionable feedback. I also maintain regular communication with technicians and families so concerns can be addressed quickly and treatment integrity remains high.
I assess client preferences, monitor behavioral indicators of willingness and distress, and build choice, autonomy, and rapport into programming. When assent is withdrawn, I evaluate environmental variables and adjust the approach rather than relying on compliance-focused procedures.
I define measurable targets, review trend and variability data regularly, and compare progress against clinically meaningful goals. If progress is limited, I assess treatment integrity, motivating operations, skill prerequisites, and environmental factors before revising interventions.
I begin with the family's priorities and explain strategies in practical, nontechnical language. I model the approach, observe caregiver practice through video, provide supportive feedback, and confirm understanding through teach-back and follow-up data review.
I use a structured scheduling system that prioritizes client safety, required supervision, treatment-plan deadlines, and urgent clinical barriers. I communicate anticipated timelines early, coordinate closely with operations, and protect dedicated blocks for documentation, team coaching, and travel.
