Sample interview questions
I would begin by defining the business impact and profiling the affected records for duplicates, missing fields, inconsistent values, or ownership errors. I would establish standardized field rules, automated validation and enrichment, a deduplication process, monitoring dashboards, and clear data stewardship responsibilities, then measure improvements in routing accuracy and reporting reliability.
I would map the current lead lifecycle, routing criteria, territories, ownership rules, SLAs, and exception paths with Marketing and Sales. I would then implement prioritized rules using enrichment and account matching, test edge cases in a sandbox or UAT environment, monitor assignment outcomes, and iterate based on speed-to-lead and conversion metrics.
I assess each tool against adoption, business outcomes, integration reliability, data quality, overlap with existing capabilities, total cost, and vendor support. I gather stakeholder feedback and usage data, quantify operational risks and expected gains, and present a recommendation with a migration plan, success criteria, and change-management approach.
I document source-of-truth ownership, field mappings, sync direction, transformation logic, error handling, and monitoring requirements before implementation. After testing with representative scenarios, I establish alerts and reconciliation checks, maintain integration documentation, and work with technical owners to resolve failures before they affect users or reporting.
I would explain the business problem, the new process, who is affected, and the expected benefits in clear nontechnical language. I would provide concise release notes, role-specific training, visual process documentation, office hours, and a feedback channel, then track adoption and operational metrics after launch.
