Sample interview questions
I listen for the speaker’s full thought, interpret faithfully without adding or omitting meaning, and use concise note-taking when appropriate. If audio, terminology, or context is unclear, I respectfully request clarification rather than guessing.
I work from a private, secure, noise-free location, use approved platforms and equipment, and do not retain or discuss call information. I follow the applicable code of professional conduct and privacy procedures for every assignment.
I would remain impartial and explain that my role is to interpret communication accurately, not to provide advice or influence decisions. I would interpret the conversation as spoken and, when needed, direct the participant to the appropriate provider or representative.
I prepare by maintaining terminology resources and continuing relevant training. During a call, I ask the speaker to repeat, spell, or explain a term when necessary so that the interpretation remains accurate and transparent.
I keep my workspace and technology ready, monitor availability reliably, and answer calls promptly. I stay focused on one interaction at a time, manage stress through professional discipline, and follow established procedures when technical or call-quality issues arise.
