Sample interview questions
Describe an automation you built that materially improved sales-team productivity.

I would explain the original manual process, baseline metrics, system architecture, data-quality controls, and the workflow I implemented. I would quantify the resulting improvement, such as reduced lead-response time, increased enrichment coverage, or more meetings created per SDR, and describe how I monitored it after launch.

How would you design a scalable lead-routing framework across Salesforce and LeanData?

I would begin by defining lifecycle stages, ownership rules, territories, account matching, routing priorities, and exception paths with Sales and Marketing Operations. I would implement the logic in LeanData and Salesforce, establish audit fields and service-level alerts, then test edge cases and routinely review routing accuracy and speed.

How would you use AI and Clay to enrich SMB prospects when conventional data providers have incomplete coverage?

I would define a structured enrichment schema and use targeted website research, custom prompts, and validation rules to extract only decision-relevant facts. I would preserve source links and confidence indicators, prevent unsupported inference, and write approved data back to Salesforce only after deduplication and quality checks.

What steps would you take to make integrations among Salesforce, Clay, Gong, and Outreach reliable?

I would document system ownership, source-of-truth fields, object mappings, triggers, and failure scenarios before deployment. I would add idempotent processing where possible, validation, error logging, alerting, retry procedures, reconciliation reports, and clear SOPs so failures can be identified and resolved quickly.

How do you communicate technical automation tradeoffs to non-technical GTM stakeholders?

I frame decisions in terms of business outcomes, risks, cost, implementation time, and impact on seller workflows rather than platform details alone. I use process diagrams, concise decision documents, pilot metrics, and stakeholder feedback to align on the simplest solution that can scale.

Who is Boulevard?

Boulevard provides the first and only client experience platform for appointment-based, self-care businesses. We empower our customers to give their clients more of the magical moments that matter most.

Before launching in 2016, our founders spent months interviewing salon managers and working behind front desks to understand their pain points so we could design a modern, user-friendly platform that meets the unique needs of their business. Our roots may be in hair salons, but we are built for the broader self-care industry, including many types of salons, spas, medspa, barbershops, and more. Our technology not only helps our customers survive but thrive. Take a look at how we (and YOU) can make that happen.

We have an insatiable curiosity and embrace experimentation. We believe that simple solutions require the most sophistication, and we design each and every detail to maximize potential, power, and impact. Do our values match? Read through our story and what we value the most.

  • Define governance standards for enrichment, routing, and data hygiene in partnership with Revenue Operations.
  • Partner with Revenue Enablement to automate call scoring and enable scalable coaching insights for leadership.
  • Support rollout and adoption of new workflows by documenting processes, creating SOPs, and recording Loom walkthroughs.
  • Proactively surface automation opportunities tied to measurable improvements in SDR productivity, enrichment coverage, and pipeline generation.

What you’ll need to thrive:

  • Experience building and iterating on standalone internal tools/applications, with hands-on proficiency in Claude Code preferred.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting a scaling B2B GTM organization with high outbound motion and fast sales cycle.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce and strong understanding of CRM architecture, object relationships, and lifecycle design. Admin experience preferred but not required.
  • Direct experience building workflows in Clay and LeanData.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Zapier, Workato, or N8N.
  • Experience with Gong and Outreach, or similar sales engagement and conversation intelligence tools.
  • Strong systems thinker with the ability to design automation that scales and supports accurate reporting, attribution, and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate automation initiatives into measurable improvements in seller productivity and pipeline performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical architecture, tradeoffs, and impact to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative operator who works effectively across GTM teams while maintaining ownership over defined systems domains.
  • Comfortable operating as a high-autonomy individual contributor within a fast-paced, scaling SaaS environment.
