Sample interview questions
How would you prioritize outreach across a strategic account with multiple potential stakeholders?

I would first research the account’s business priorities, organizational structure, employee population, and relevant benefits or healthcare initiatives. I would map likely decision-makers, champions, influencers, and procurement stakeholders, then sequence outreach based on role relevance and potential urgency. I would use personalized messaging for each persona while tracking engagement and next steps in the CRM.

Tell us about a time you persisted through a difficult sales or client-facing challenge.

In a prior sales situation, I encountered prospects who were initially unresponsive after several outreach attempts. I reviewed my messaging, added more relevant context, varied the communication channel, and set structured follow-up reminders rather than treating silence as a dead end. This consistent approach eventually reopened conversations and reinforced the value of process discipline.

How do you use AI tools in your sales workflow while maintaining quality and sound judgment?

I use AI to reduce repetitive work, such as summarizing public account information, organizing research themes, drafting initial outreach frameworks, and identifying questions to investigate. I review and edit every output to ensure it is accurate, specific, respectful, and aligned with the prospect’s context. AI should accelerate preparation, not replace critical thinking or authentic relationship building.

What metrics would you monitor to evaluate your performance as an SDR?

I would monitor activity quality and outcomes, including targeted accounts researched, calls and emails completed, connection and reply rates, meetings booked, qualified opportunities created, and pipeline contribution. I would also review conversion rates at each stage to identify whether I need to improve targeting, messaging, call execution, or follow-up consistency.
