The role owns end-to-end delivery across React/TypeScript front ends and back-end services, with substantial input into product direction and UX. Sample interview questions
I would explain the customer problem, map the primary user flow, create a small testable implementation, and use feedback or instrumentation to refine it. I would also describe component boundaries, state management, accessibility, performance considerations, and how I measured the release's outcome.
I would define typed API contracts, isolate requests in a data-access layer, and provide loading, empty, retry, and error states in the UI. I would use validation and versioning where possible, add observability for failures, and avoid blocking the entire experience when a noncritical request fails.
I would collect feedback from multiple users, distinguish recurring root causes from one-off requests, and turn the findings into a prioritized hypothesis. After shipping an incremental improvement, I would monitor adoption and qualitative feedback, then iterate if the change did not fully resolve the workflow issue.
I would first measure real-user performance and identify the largest bottlenecks, such as bundle size, unnecessary renders, slow network requests, or expensive client-side computation. Depending on findings, I would apply code splitting, caching, memoization selectively, image and asset optimization, server-side rendering where appropriate, and regression monitoring.
I align early on the user outcome, constraints, and success metric, then break work into small deliverables that can be validated quickly. I communicate decisions and risks proactively, seek input from relevant partners without over-meeting, and take responsibility for quality, rollout, and follow-up after launch.

About the role
We are looking for Full-Stack engineers to develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components of our product suite.
Your general responsibilities will include:
Building and maintaining the front-ends for our platform and products, which are built on top of our cutting-edge voice models and used by millions of users.
High degrees of ownership. You will be responsible for shipping end-to-end features across the front and back ends of our stack, as well as helping set the direction of the features and products you’re working on.
Collaborating closely with others on the Engineering, Growth and Sales teams to understand, and design solutions for, our customer and internal team’s most important problems and workflows.
We believe in pairing engineers with work that matches their strengths and interests. This means that there is significant flexibility in staffing engineers across the company.
Specific responsibilities might include:
Improving our existing products to ensure that they’re intuitive, powerful and make innovative use of our research team’s latest break-throughs. This could involve making sweeping UX changes, adding significant functionality, or building integrations with other common consumer/enterprise solutions.
Designing & developing clean, intuitive, and functional user interfaces for products that will be used by millions of users and the world’s largest enterprises.
Working with internal teams and customers directly to synthesize feedback, understand user’s issues, and then design improvements and features to solve them.
Requirements
We do not require any formal experience, certifications, or degrees. Instead, we are seeking enthusiastic software engineers who can showcase solving impressively hard problems with artifacts such as past projects, designs, or GitHub contributions. We do require:
Experience with Web Development using Typescript/React
Familiarity with common software and system design patterns and infrastructure including APIs, cloud infrastructure tools, storage solutions, data structures etc.
Interest in UI/UX design
Location
This role is remote and can be executed globally. If you prefer, you can work from our offices in London, New York, San Francisco, and Warsaw.
