Sample interview questions
I begin with the executive's revenue priorities, strategic objectives, and nonmovable commitments. I assess the business impact, decision urgency, and availability of delegates for each request, then present concise options and trade-offs when escalation is needed. I protect preparation time and ensure stakeholders receive prompt, clear communication about changes.
I use a structured triage approach based on urgency, strategic importance, deadlines, and required executive involvement. I flag decision items, draft responses where appropriate, track delegated actions, and maintain a follow-up system so commitments do not disappear. Confidential matters are handled through defined protocols and with careful access control.
I would immediately confirm the executive's highest-priority destination or meeting, identify viable alternative routes and virtual contingencies, and communicate a recommended plan quickly. I would coordinate with travel providers and meeting owners, update calendars and logistics, and continue monitoring the situation until the executive is fully supported. Afterward, I would document lessons learned to improve future contingency planning.
I establish clear owners, due dates, and expected outcomes in a visible tracker, then follow up with concise, context-specific reminders. I focus on the business impact of delayed actions rather than hierarchy, making it easy for stakeholders to respond or delegate. When risks persist, I escalate early with factual status and practical options.
I create a focused briefing that includes objectives, attendee backgrounds, decision points, relevant account or business context, open risks, and recommended next steps. I confirm logistics and materials in advance, align with key internal partners, and reserve preparation time on the executive's calendar. Following the meeting, I capture commitments and ensure owners and deadlines are documented.
