Sample interview questions
I begin by confirming the CEO's current priorities, decision deadlines, and non-negotiable commitments. I evaluate each request by strategic value, urgency, required participants, and whether delegation or an alternative format is possible, then propose clear options rather than simply escalating every conflict. I communicate changes promptly, protect focus time, and maintain enough context in the calendar for the CEO to arrive prepared.
When a disruption occurs, I first identify the executive's essential destination, timing, and meeting constraints. I quickly secure viable transport, lodging, ground travel, and any required documentation alternatives, while keeping key internal and external stakeholders updated with a concise plan. After the immediate issue is resolved, I document what happened and adjust travel preferences or contingency processes to reduce recurrence.
I would define a structured intake process, approved source materials, a reusable prompt or agent configuration, expected output format, and a mandatory human-review step. I would limit sensitive inputs to authorized systems, apply data-minimization principles, validate outputs against source documents, and test the workflow using representative scenarios before adoption. I would also document its limitations, ownership, and escalation process for inaccuracies or confidentiality concerns.
I establish an agenda and pre-read timeline, confirm owners for each discussion item, and prepare concise materials that identify the decision needed. During and immediately after the meeting, I capture decisions, action owners, deadlines, and dependencies in a central tracker. I then follow up regularly with owners, surface risks early, and provide a clear status view before the next meeting.
I make CEO priorities explicit while treating every executive with professionalism and responsiveness. I use transparent scheduling principles, understand each leader's critical deadlines, and look for ways to resolve conflicts through delegation, alternatives, or advance planning. When a genuine priority conflict remains, I present the trade-offs and recommended path quickly so the appropriate decision can be made.
