Sample interview questions
I would assess the business model, intended fund flows, target geographies, cardholder use cases, volume potential, regulatory readiness, technical capabilities, decision process, and timeline. I would then identify risks and dependencies early, align internal partners, and determine whether Stripe can deliver measurable commercial and customer value.
I would tailor the conversation to each stakeholder while maintaining one shared value narrative. For business leaders, I would focus on revenue, market access, customer experience, and economics; for technical teams, I would address integration architecture, reliability, security, implementation effort, and launch requirements.
I establish the customer's priority issues, commercial guardrails, decision makers, and deadline at the outset. I create a mutual action plan, bring Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and product partners in early, document trade-offs clearly, and keep the customer informed so that approvals do not become last-minute surprises.
I would run disciplined discovery across early opportunities, identify recurring customer segments and objections, and test positioning with measurable hypotheses. I would document findings, share them regularly with GTM and product partners, and turn successful patterns into qualification criteria, messaging, and repeatable deal processes.
I would first clarify the customer's specific regulatory, treasury, custody, and user-protection concerns rather than offering generic reassurance. Then I would connect the appropriate internal experts and explain the relevant product controls, partner roles, launch requirements, and risk-management process transparently without overstating capabilities.

If turning stablecoins into practical global financial infrastructure excites you… you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll do
As an Account Executive focused on Stablecoin Issuing, you’ll grow adoption and revenue for Stripe’s Stablecoin Issuing product and the financial infrastructure that powers it. You’re equally effective with customers and internal partners, excited to develop deep expertise, and generous about sharing what you learn.
Responsibilities
- Own a revenue target and the end-to-end commercial motion for Stablecoin Issuing, from pipeline development and qualification through negotiation, close, and launch.
- Qualify customer business models, stablecoin fund flows, target geographies, cardholder use cases, and regulatory readiness.
- Develop a deep understanding of the competitive and partner landscape, and use it to sharpen Stripe’s positioning.
- Lead technically and commercially complex sales involving stablecoin infrastructure, card issuing, cross-border money movement, and program economics.
- Navigate stakeholders across internal Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams, as well as financial partners and card networks, from early qualification through launch.
- Use early customer engagements to develop repeatable segmentation, qualification criteria, commercial models, and GTM playbooks.
- Bring structured market feedback to Product and Engineering as the product and market rapidly evolve.
- Bring curiosity, good judgment, and a sense of humor – we’re building the playbook as we go.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of customer-facing experience in technology, fintech, crypto, payments, or financial infrastructure, with a track record of strong performance.
- Experience building trusted advisor relationships with senior business leaders.
- Proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with cross-functional business partners.
- Self-starter capable of operating independently to drive meaningful business results.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and build where there isn’t yet a playbook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand complex technical requirements and craft solutions that address the needs of multiple stakeholders.
- Proven experience leading complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements.
- A collaborative teammate who is eager to learn, grow, and leave things nicer than they found them.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with card issuing, stablecoins, crypto infrastructure, cross-border payments, or embedded finance.
- Experience selling API-based products or navigating regulated, multi-party product launches.
- Familiarity with platforms, marketplaces, wallets, or global fintech business models.
