Sample interview questions
I use a defined qualification framework to score inbound leads by fit, urgency, decision process, and likely opportunity value. High-potential leads receive rapid follow-up and structured next steps, while I reserve recurring blocks for targeted outbound work so pipeline creation does not depend only on inbound volume.
I would begin with open questions about their fleet or site plans, user groups, charging locations, energy constraints, timeline, budget process, and desired operational outcomes. I would then confirm stakeholders and success criteria, summarize the business problem, and align relevant ChargePoint capabilities to the priorities they identify.
I would first clarify whether the concern is upfront cost, installation complexity, operations, or uncertainty about utilization. Then I would tailor the discussion to the customer's use case, explain the implementation path and available solution options, and quantify the operational or strategic value where appropriate rather than responding with generic claims.
I update opportunity stages, next steps, close dates, contacts, and activity records immediately after meaningful interactions. I forecast from verified customer commitments and qualification evidence, regularly review aging deals, and adjust close expectations early when a decision process, stakeholder, or timeline changes.
I would establish mutual roles, a shared account plan, and clear customer-facing next steps at the outset. I would maintain CRM documentation, schedule regular partner check-ins, and ensure the customer receives a coordinated experience while tracking progress, risks, and responsibilities internally.
