Sample interview questions
Describe how you would identify and mitigate renewal risk for a strategic SaaS customer.

I would combine usage and adoption signals, support history, stakeholder engagement, business changes, and commercial timing to assess account health. After identifying risk, I would validate the underlying issue directly with the customer, build a documented mitigation plan with owners and milestones, and align Sales and internal specialists around measurable value and renewal outcomes.

How do you explain a technical product capability to both an IT administrator and an executive sponsor?

For an IT administrator, I focus on configuration, integrations, governance, security implications, and operational steps. For an executive sponsor, I connect the same capability to business outcomes such as collaboration efficiency, risk reduction, adoption, and return on investment, tailoring the depth and terminology to each audience.

Give an example of how you would drive product adoption in an account with multiple stakeholder groups.

I would first map stakeholder goals and current workflows, then identify high-value use cases for each group. I would create a phased adoption plan that includes enablement, usage milestones, success metrics, and regular reviews, using champions to reinforce behavior and address barriers early.

How would you manage a portfolio that is approximately 80% Japan and 20% Korea?

I would segment accounts by strategic value, health, renewal timing, and growth potential, then establish a structured engagement cadence appropriate to each segment. I would communicate with customers in their preferred language, maintain clear account plans, and coordinate internally in English so regional needs, risks, and opportunities remain visible.

What metrics would you use to demonstrate customer value in a Success Business Review?

I would select metrics that link platform activity to the customer's stated objectives, such as active-user adoption, feature utilization, workflow efficiency, governance outcomes, support trends, and progress against agreed success milestones. I would pair quantitative evidence with stakeholder feedback and conclude with a forward-looking plan for value realization, renewal readiness, and appropriate expansion opportunities.
