Sample interview questions
How would you report a playback issue that occurs only on a specific Smart TV model?

I would record the exact TV model, Titan OS version if available, app build, network conditions, account state, and content used. I would provide numbered reproduction steps, the expected and actual results, the issue frequency, and a screenshot or video showing the behavior.

What would you check when testing navigation in a streaming application?

I would verify remote-control focus behavior, menu transitions, back-button behavior, loading states, content discovery paths, search, and whether navigation remains consistent across screens. I would also check that labels and layouts are displayed correctly in Italian.

How do you distinguish a functional defect from an expected product behavior?

I first compare the observed result with the assigned test case, requirements, and any available instructions. If the behavior differs from the expected result and is repeatable, I document it as a defect; if requirements are unclear, I provide evidence and request clarification rather than making assumptions.

What steps would you take before beginning a new testing run?

I would review the test materials, confirm that my device is in scope and running Titan OS, verify access to the required build and test account, and ensure my internet connection is stable. I would also prepare a way to capture screenshots or recordings before executing the test cases.

How would you manage a flexible freelance assignment with a limited testing window?

I would confirm my availability before accepting the run, estimate the time needed from the test scope, and complete the highest-priority test cases first. If I encountered a blocker or could not complete the assignment, I would communicate promptly with the coordinator and provide clear status details.
