Sample interview questions
How would you improve forecast accuracy across multiple EMEA countries with different sales motions?

I would first establish consistent opportunity-stage definitions, forecast categories, required CRM fields, and inspection routines. I would then analyze historical conversion, velocity, slip, and commit accuracy by segment, country, and route to market to identify where localized calibration is necessary. Finally, I would create a repeatable forecast cadence with clear accountability, risk flags, and executive-ready reporting.

Describe your approach to territory design and quota allocation.

I start with market potential, account segmentation, historical attainment, capacity, seller ramp assumptions, coverage ratios, and strategic priorities. I model several scenarios, test for balance and feasibility, and partner with sales leadership and finance to align the chosen design with growth objectives. After launch, I monitor coverage, attainment distribution, and exceptions so adjustments are evidence-based and governed.

What Salesforce data-quality controls would you implement for a regional sales organization?

I would define required fields and validation logic for opportunity stage, close date, amount, next step, account ownership, and forecast category. I would build dashboards that surface stale opportunities, missing data, inconsistent hierarchies, duplicates, and process exceptions by manager and segment. Regular inspection with clear ownership and remediation timelines would make data quality part of the operating rhythm rather than a one-time cleanup.

How would you use AI and automation in Sales Operations while maintaining sound judgment?

I would use AI and automation for repeatable work such as data preparation, anomaly detection, pipeline summaries, dashboard refreshes, and identifying forecast-risk patterns. I would validate inputs, logic, and outputs against source data and commercial context before sharing recommendations. Final decisions on forecasts, territory changes, and business actions should remain accountable to informed human judgment.

How do you present complex operational insights to executive stakeholders?

I tailor the narrative to the decision required, leading with the business outcome, material risks, and recommended action. I use concise visuals to show trend, variance, drivers, and scenario implications, with detailed analysis available as backup. I also make assumptions and data limitations explicit so leaders can act with confidence.
