Sample interview questions
I would use a balanced scorecard that tracks new affiliate growth, retention cohorts, unit economics, owner satisfaction, and operational health. Growth initiatives would be evaluated not only on acquisition volume but also on the long-term success and retention of new affiliates.
I would establish structured channels including owner councils, regional roundtables, surveys, office hours, and targeted site visits. I would synthesize recurring themes into prioritized initiatives, communicate decisions transparently, and close the loop by showing owners what changed as a result of their input.
I would monitor network growth, renewal and churn rates, affiliate tenure, engagement with HQ programs, unit-economic indicators, support resolution trends, and owner sentiment. Segmenting these metrics by region, maturity, and operating profile would identify both scalable opportunities and early operational risks.
I would align stakeholders around shared outcomes, clear decision rights, and evidence from affiliate data and field feedback. When trade-offs are necessary, I would make them explicit, quantify their impact, and ensure the selected path creates meaningful long-term value for affiliates and CrossFit.
I set clear outcomes, operating cadences, and accountability mechanisms while giving leaders ownership over how they achieve agreed objectives. Regular coaching, transparent performance reviews, peer learning, and documented decision-making help a distributed team remain aligned, engaged, and able to execute independently.
