Sample interview questions
I start by confirming the CEO's highest-priority objectives, immovable commitments, and decision-making role. I assess each request for strategic impact, urgency, preparation needs, and whether it can be delegated, then propose clear options and protect focused work time.
I would create a concise briefing with meeting objectives, attendee backgrounds, relevant company context, key decisions needed, talking points, risks, and supporting materials. I would confirm logistics in advance, ensure the CEO has time to review, and capture actions and owners immediately after the meeting.
I use need-to-know access, careful channel selection, and clear document-management practices. I avoid sharing sensitive context casually, verify recipients before sending information, and escalate uncertain situations rather than making assumptions about disclosure.
I would maintain a centralized action tracker that records the commitment, owner, due date, status, and relevant meeting context. I would send concise recaps, schedule follow-ups where appropriate, and regularly surface overdue or blocked items to the relevant stakeholders.
I would build predictable communication rhythms, document decisions clearly, and use shared tools such as Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace to keep information accessible. I would plan proactively around time zones, reserve synchronous time for high-value decisions, and ensure follow-ups are explicit for colleagues working different hours.

Anticipate needs, identify blockers early, and solve problems proactively before they escalate.
Partner across the company to create clarity, improve coordination, and help leadership operate effectively in a global, remote-first environment.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
Have experience supporting a CEO, founder, or senior executive in a startup or scale-up environment.
Are based in an APJ / APAC timezone and can provide strong coverage for a globally distributed leadership team.
Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, with excellent written and verbal communication.
Have experience working in async, remote-first, or globally distributed teams.
Are tech savvy and comfortable using tools like Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, and AI-enabled workflows.
Bring strong judgment around prioritization, confidentiality, stakeholder management, and executive communication.
