Sample interview questions
How do you adapt messaging across email, push notifications, in-app content, and web pages while maintaining a consistent voice?

I begin with the user’s context, intent, and constraints for each channel, then apply a shared voice-and-tone framework. I adjust length, hierarchy, calls to action, and supporting detail to fit the medium while preserving the same core message and terminology.

Describe how you would approach a compliance-sensitive product message.

I would clarify the user action, required disclosures, and potential areas of confusion before drafting plain-language options. I would involve legal and compliance partners early, document approved language and rationale, and test the final copy for clarity without weakening required disclosures.

How do you use A/B testing to improve content?

I define a clear hypothesis tied to a measurable outcome, such as activation, completion, or engagement. I test one meaningful messaging variable where possible, review quantitative results alongside qualitative feedback, and apply the learning to future content patterns rather than treating one result as universal.

How would you create a scalable messaging framework for a new product area?

I would audit existing user journeys and content, identify common intents and decision points, and map required messages by scenario. From there, I would establish voice guidance, terminology, templates, content rules, and governance so teams can produce consistent content efficiently as the product evolves.

Tell us how you manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.

I align early on each project’s business objective, user impact, dependencies, and deadline, then maintain a visible prioritized work plan. When priorities change, I communicate tradeoffs promptly, reset expectations with stakeholders, and protect time for review cycles and high-risk content.
