Sample interview questions
I would review the content in context against the source, approved glossary, style guide, and product requirements. I would check linguistic accuracy, fluency, terminology, punctuation, UI truncation, formatting, cultural appropriateness, and functional behavior, then document any defects with clear evidence and severity.
A useful report includes a concise title, environment and build details, reproducible steps, actual and expected results, severity or priority, screenshots where appropriate, and the exact affected source and Kazakh strings. This gives developers and project stakeholders enough context to reproduce and resolve the issue efficiently.
I would first verify whether the glossary entry is mandatory and review related approved strings and client instructions. If the issue remains unclear, I would document the context and propose an evidence-based recommendation, then escalate it to the linguistic lead or client contact rather than making an inconsistent unilateral change.
I would test text rendering across relevant screens and device sizes, including truncation, line breaks, placeholders, character encoding, date and number formats, buttons, dialogs, and right contextual meaning. I would also verify that translated strings match the feature behavior and remain understandable within the user journey.
I would prioritize blockers and high-impact defects that prevent use of a feature, create incorrect meaning, expose users to risk, or affect many screens. I would then address visible consistency and formatting issues, communicate any time constraints early, and ensure all deferred findings are clearly logged for follow-up.
