Sample interview questions
I would first inspect the design system, layout rules, assets, typography, breakpoints, and interaction states. I would create reusable semantic components and design tokens, validate the layout against the source at key viewport sizes, and iterate with visual QA before release.
I prioritize transform and opacity animations, avoid layout-triggering properties where possible, batch DOM work, optimize assets, and profile rendering with browser performance tools. I also use reduced-motion preferences, lazy-load noncritical media, and test on lower-powered devices.
I ensure that interactions work with keyboard navigation and screen readers, use semantic HTML and appropriate ARIA only when needed, manage focus deliberately, and provide meaningful state feedback. I also respect prefers-reduced-motion by reducing or removing nonessential motion without removing core functionality.
I would favor GSAP for complex timeline orchestration, scroll-driven storytelling, SVG control, and highly tuned marketing experiences. Framer Motion is often efficient for React component transitions and layout animations, so the choice depends on the interaction complexity and the application architecture.
I clarify scope, visual acceptance criteria, technical constraints, milestones, and feedback channels early. I then provide concise progress updates, surface risks quickly, use pull requests and demos for review, and document decisions so design, product, and engineering partners stay aligned.
