Sample interview questions
I would first confirm business goals, target locations, competitors, and available data access. I would assess Google Business Profiles, listings consistency, local landing pages, technical and on-page signals, keyword visibility, reviews, and competitor presence. I would then prioritize findings by expected customer impact, effort, and dependencies, and convert them into a documented action plan.
I connect changes in rankings, impressions, clicks, listings completeness, and conversion signals to likely causes and business priorities. Rather than presenting metrics alone, I explain the trend, its potential impact, the recommended action, required owner, and how success will be measured. This makes reporting actionable for both marketing practitioners and executive stakeholders.
I would include local keyword rankings and share of visibility, Google Business Profile views and actions, search impressions and clicks, listings accuracy, review trends where relevant, local-page performance, completed optimizations, and competitor movement. The exact set would be tailored to the service scope and the customer's goals.
I would acknowledge the request, clarify the desired outcome, and review it against the approved scope. If it is out of scope, I would explain the boundary clearly, document the request, and escalate it to the appropriate manager or Customer Success partner for next steps. I would avoid committing to work before ownership and commercial expectations are confirmed.
I would maintain a delivery calendar with report dates, data dependencies, meeting schedules, action owners, and review checkpoints. I would use standardized templates to improve consistency, flag risks early, and prioritize work by customer commitments and impact. Regular communication with Customer Success and internal stakeholders helps prevent blockers from becoming missed deadlines.
