Sample interview questions
How have you delivered technical training for a complex security product portfolio?

I first identify the audience's technical level and typical use cases, then build practical sessions around product configuration, installation considerations, troubleshooting, and customer outcomes. I use demonstrations and hands-on scenarios, collect feedback, and refine the material based on recurring questions.

How would you position Ajax solutions against a competing physical-security platform?

I would begin by understanding the customer's requirements, existing environment, and decision criteria. I would then provide a factual comparison of relevant capabilities, integration options, reliability, usability, and total operational value, while avoiding unsupported claims about competitors.

Describe your approach to supporting a key partner with a challenging technical requirement.

I would clarify the requirement, document the current setup and constraints, and determine whether the solution can be met through existing products, configuration, or an alternative design. I would coordinate with product or engineering teams where needed, communicate realistic next steps, and remain accountable through resolution.

How do you manage a remote territory that requires frequent customer visits?

I prioritize accounts by opportunity, strategic importance, technical urgency, and travel efficiency. I maintain a structured visit plan, combine onsite meetings with remote follow-ups, record actions in the CRM, and ensure partners receive timely technical resources between visits.

What makes an effective technical webinar for installers or security partners?

An effective webinar is focused on a clear use case and includes concise explanation, live product examples, configuration guidance, and time for questions. I would provide supporting documentation afterward and use participant feedback and follow-up requests to measure its effectiveness.
