Core skills

Skills and capabilities most closely associated with this opportunity.

Sample interview questions
How would you turn an ambiguous client request into a clear profile for a management consultant?

I would begin with a structured discovery conversation covering the business problem, desired outcomes, scope, timeline, stakeholders, decision rights, industry context, and budget. I would then translate those findings into required capabilities, relevant functional experience, seniority, availability, and success criteria, validating the profile with the client before sourcing.

How do you assess whether a consultant is the right fit beyond their resume?

I assess evidence of comparable problem-solving experience, communication style, stakeholder maturity, and ability to operate within the client’s environment. I also verify motivation, availability, working preferences, and examples of how the consultant handled similar ambiguity or delivery challenges.

Describe how you would manage several urgent client matching requests at once.

I would prioritize requests by business impact, engagement start date, client urgency, and availability constraints. I would set clear milestones for discovery, sourcing, outreach, and shortlist delivery, communicate realistic expectations early, and keep detailed platform notes so risks and next actions remain visible.

What would you do if a client reports that a matched consultant is not meeting expectations?

I would gather specific, objective feedback from both parties, compare it against the agreed scope and success criteria, and identify whether the issue is related to expectations, communication, skills, or engagement structure. I would facilitate a practical resolution plan where appropriate, while preparing alternative consultant options if a rematch is necessary.

How would you use data and feedback to improve the matching process?

I would monitor indicators such as time to match, shortlist acceptance, interview-to-engagement conversion, engagement duration, rematch reasons, and satisfaction feedback. I would look for recurring patterns by role type or client segment, test process improvements, and share successful practices with the team.
