Sample interview questions
I segment potential partners by market coverage, technical capability, customer base, and willingness to invest in a joint business plan. After recruitment, I establish enablement milestones, executive sponsorship, account mapping, and pipeline reviews, then track sourced and influenced revenue to focus investment on productive partners.
I start with target-account alignment between field sellers and selected partners, identify use cases that resonate with the partner’s customers, and build repeatable campaigns around those use cases. I maintain a regular pipeline cadence in CRM, inspect deal quality and next steps, and remove technical, commercial, or enablement blockers early.
I would assess its existing security practice, sales motion, and technical readiness before creating a role-specific enablement plan for sales, presales, and services staff. The plan would include product positioning, discovery questions, demo and assessment workflows, competitive guidance, and a first-opportunity co-selling process to build confidence and repeatability.
I make the engagement model transparent through shared account plans, clear rules of engagement, and mutual pipeline visibility. My goal is to help the field team win through the partner rather than create channel conflict, so I regularly align on account ownership, deal strategy, partner value, and follow-up responsibilities.
I would monitor active and enabled partners, partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline, conversion rates, average deal size, sales-cycle duration, forecast accuracy, and revenue attainment. I would also review partner engagement indicators such as training completion, joint campaigns, registered opportunities, and executive-business-plan progress.
