Sample interview questions
I use a structured preflight checklist covering audience criteria, personalization tokens, links, tracking parameters, rendering across major clients, mobile responsiveness, unsubscribe functionality, sender details, and approval status. I send test versions, document issues, and confirm final stakeholder sign-off before scheduling.
I would first review the audience segment, message-to-offer relevance, email layout, CTA placement, device performance, and deliverability data. I would then prioritize a test plan, such as testing CTA language, content hierarchy, personalization, and landing-page alignment, and use statistically meaningful results to guide the next send.
I maintain clean and permission-based lists, monitor bounces and engagement, suppress inactive or invalid contacts when appropriate, avoid spam-triggering content, authenticate sending domains, and ramp volume carefully when needed. I also monitor sender reputation and investigate deliverability changes quickly.
I segment based on meaningful attributes such as lifecycle stage, behavior, product interest, or engagement level, then tailor messaging and offers to each group. For dynamic content, I establish clear rules, validate fallbacks, and test every variation so each recipient receives relevant and accurate content.
I clarify objectives, dependencies, and launch dates early, then maintain a production schedule with clear owners and review milestones. I communicate risks promptly, prioritize work by business impact and fixed deadlines, and use project-management tools to keep stakeholders aligned.
