Sample interview questions
I establish daily and weekly pacing targets, monitor delivery and efficiency metrics, and compare results with forecasted outcomes. When performance shifts, I work quickly with agency partners to adjust inventory, creative rotation, audience targeting, or spend while documenting the rationale and expected impact.
I would define a clear hypothesis, identify the primary success metrics such as incremental conversions, CAC, or response rate, and ensure the test has an appropriate control or comparison. I would evaluate results by publisher, audience, creative format, and timing, then translate the findings into a concrete scale, iterate, or stop recommendation.
I set clear deliverables, timelines, measurement definitions, and escalation paths at the outset. I use regular performance reviews to address gaps with evidence, agree on corrective actions and owners, and maintain transparent communication focused on shared business outcomes.
I review message clarity, call-to-action strength, audience fit, host credibility, required disclosures, and alignment with brand voice. I also assess the publisher environment, claims substantiation, compliance requirements, and whether the content can be measured and iterated effectively.
I would protect critical daily activities such as budget pacing, campaign monitoring, and agency approvals through a structured operating cadence. For the relaunch, I would define milestones, ownership, dependencies, and decision deadlines, then communicate trade-offs early to ensure both channel performance and project delivery remain on track.

Own day-to-day execution of the Audio channel (Podcast, Programmatic/Streaming) and support relaunch and special projects for other offline media (Direct Mail and OOH). This role is an exciting mix of project and campaign management, creative execution & ideation, and cross-functional collaboration. You’re the hands-on operator: owning daily budget and performance management, making tactical media calls, and serving as the primary point of contact with our media agency on execution. You’ll partner with the Senior Marketing Manager, who guides overall channel strategy, and turn that direction into tactical decisions, agency management, and creative output.
What You’ll Do
Media Execution & Agency Management: Own tactical day-to-day decisions within strategic guardrails and execute with our media agency; own day-to-day agency relationship management, including inventory and compliance follow-through
Budget & Reporting: Own day-to-day budget management, pacing, tracking, and reporting; feed pacing and efficiency data into quarterly/annual planning
Creative: Drive creative strategy, briefs, and test design; own production and iteration with PMG; own performance tracking and brand safety/compliance review
Custom/Brand Creative: Lead creative project management for custom segments, social extensions, and other partnership extensions through cross-functional partnerships
Growth: Support testing/execution of new tactics, tech, and measurement approaches
Flex Support: Step in on Direct Mail and OOH campaign execution during relaunches or special projects, applying the same agency-management and creative-review rigor used in Audio
What We’re Looking For
5+ years in media/marketing/advertising with proven experience owning channel-level budget, pacing, and agency performance management
Podcast/Radio/Streaming Audio experience is required (with additional Direct Mail and OOH experience preferred)
Strong project management skills across cross-functional stakeholders
Experience managing day-to-day agency relationships and holding partners accountable
Comfort with audio and direct mail measurement informing creative/media decisions (experience with Podscribe is strongly preferred)
Strong creative judgment across both performance ad reads and brand content
Excellent written/verbal communication; familiarity with creative briefing and providing internal business updates
Comfortable operating in ambiguity as the business evolves
Our Benefits (there are more but here are some highlights):
Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles
Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days
Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & vision, and parental leave
Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)
401k benefits with employer matching contribution
Offsite team retreats
