Sample interview questions
How do you prioritize a senior executive's calendar when multiple urgent requests conflict?

I first evaluate each request against the executive's strategic objectives, deadlines, decision-making needs, and stakeholder importance. I clarify trade-offs quickly, propose practical alternatives, and communicate changes early so affected stakeholders remain aligned.

Describe how you prepare an executive for a high-stakes meeting.

I gather the agenda, attendee context, relevant decisions, prior commitments, key documents, and anticipated questions. I consolidate this into a concise briefing, confirm logistics, identify information gaps early, and follow up afterward on decisions and action items.

How would you use AI tools in an executive-support role while protecting confidential information?

I would use only approved tools and follow company data-security policies. I would avoid entering sensitive information into unapproved platforms, verify AI-generated output for accuracy, and use automation to assist with tasks such as draft communications, meeting summaries, and action tracking.

Tell me about a time you had to manage a last-minute travel or scheduling disruption.

I would remain calm, identify the executive's non-negotiable commitments, and immediately develop backup options. I would coordinate with relevant parties, update the itinerary and stakeholders, and provide the executive with a clear recommendation and contingency plan.

How do you maintain discretion while serving as a liaison for an executive?

I handle information on a need-to-know basis, apply consistent professional judgment, and communicate only what is appropriate for each audience. I also maintain secure records, avoid informal disclosure, and escalate sensitive matters to the executive when necessary.
