Develop and deliver cross-system performance reporting to provide leadership and key stakeholders with actionable insights into supplier performance, profitability, growth, and opportunities.
Identify opportunities to strengthen the supplier portfolio, using customer demand, performance data, market trends, and business priorities to inform supplier strategy.
Strategically manage and prioritize a portfolio of suppliers based on business performance, customer demand, strategic importance, and growth potential.

Sample interview questions
I review sales, cost of goods, gross margin, rebates, and service performance at supplier and SKU levels. I then prioritize opportunities such as renegotiating cost or incentive structures, improving assortment, correcting catalog issues, and building targeted promotional plans, with agreed metrics to measure the impact.
I prepare using historical performance, customer demand, competitive context, margin targets, and a clear understanding of mutual value. During discussions, I focus on a collaborative business case that can include pricing, rebates, marketing support, service levels, and joint growth commitments rather than treating price as the only lever.
I would establish a consistent agenda covering revenue, margin, catalog health, customer demand, operational performance, open issues, and upcoming opportunities. I would use clear data, identify root causes for gaps, and end with named owners, measurable actions, and dates for follow-up.
I would quickly assess customer impact, scope, root cause, and immediate mitigation options while coordinating the relevant internal teams and supplier contacts. I would communicate transparently, track actions to resolution, and document preventive process or data changes once the immediate issue is resolved.
I define data ownership and validation rules, use standardized supplier imports and naming conventions, and routinely audit for duplicates, missing attributes, and mismatched records. I also partner with operations and technical teams to resolve root causes so reporting and catalog decisions remain reliable.
