Our mission is to bring the world together through live experiences, and we live that everyday in our words and actions, supporting creators in building their event businesses. Our platform is home to one of the most diverse and vibrant creator communities and we’re on a mission to honor and amplify this group to new heights. We’ve seen the impact that well crafted copy can have in building confidence for our creators. Now it’s time to supercharge these efforts. Our goal is to transform Eventbrite from a ticketing solution to a two-sided marketplace for events, earning the trust of both event creators and attendees.

The Eventbrite Marketing team is a centralized, multi-disciplinary group focused on acquiring, retaining, and building a world-class brand that resonates with both event creators and event goers. We are data driven and biased towards action, and put the customer at the center of everything we do. We are specialists within our individual areas of expertise and work together to connect with and support our customers.

THE ROLE:

The Head of Copy plays an essential role in creating authentic experiences for our creator and attendee communities, by creating compelling and relevant brand messaging that connects to the β€œwhy” not just the β€œwhat,” inspiring our customers to take action. We are looking for a seasoned brand copywriter with management experience and a passion for storytelling who can deliver focused and compelling messaging that motivates our customers to take action. You will be responsible for crafting written content for a variety of channels, including email, social media, landing pages, and other marketing materials. A successful candidate will have a portfolio of work featuring known brands and be prepared to talk through their projects in detail. Reporting to the Creative Director, this full-time role is based in San Francisco, with the option of working remotely.

YOU WILL:

  • Manage brand voice, maintain guidelines, and ensure consistency across touch points
  • Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for a variety of channels and audiences
  • Manage a small but growing team of in-house copywriters and contractors
  • Support strategy, including concept development, for ongoing and seasonal marketing campaigns across consumer and SMB audiences
  • Partner closely with the Product team to bridge tone of voice gaps between the product experience and brand touchpoints.

THE SKILLSET:

  • At least 10 years of experience in brand copywriting at an agency or known brand.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to confidently and clearly present work.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and working on tight timelines.
  • A true self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to partner closely with internal teams and external agencies.
