Been detailing cars for 5 years and now I want to get into auto body estimating. I know vehicles well and I’m used to checking damage closely, but I don’t have estimating software experience or any formal collision repair training. The best-case path is learning estimating software, repair writing, supplements, and insurer/OEM procedures. I-CAR and ASE collision certs help more than a fancy title ever did - the paperwork just catches up later.
