I am Priyanka Sharma, and I have 20 years of work experience in the field of Human Resource Management. I am an MBA in HR and prior to my MBA, I did my B.A. Honours in English and got First Class and was one of college/university toppers. I began my career as a Human Resource Generalist in Standard Chartered Bank in India. As a HR generalist, I was involved with the recruitment of executives at junior level. The job required scanning CVs, conducting interviews and then onboarding of the selected candidates. I also worked on the PeopleSoft as the banks human resource information system. I was also involved with retention policy making which the company was redesigning. After one year, I moved to the shared services division of Hindustan Unilever Ltd. There also I continued in my HR Generalist role but also accomplished few things. I designed the Human Resource Information System and implemented the same single handedly. I also conducted more than hundred interviews for recruitment and got a certification as an excellent interviewer. I was also involved with implementation of the performance appraisal system and reviews. After my stint with HUL, I moved to PwC, India. I joined the government reforms and institutional development wing. I was part of the development projects funded by international bodies like World Bank, DFiD, ADB etc. As a senior consultant in PwC, I was involved with government projects in social sector like education and other infrastructure reforms in the mining sector and construction industry. I did capacity building, organisational restructuring, training and development, implementation of various government schemes, report writing for the World Bank. I have travelled extensively in India and abroad and worked with bureaucrats at both State and National Governments. After few years in PwC, I quit my job and started freelancing as a project manager/advisor/consultant in the construction industry.
