Trade Marketing E-Commerce Supplier Management Promotional Strategy Campaign Negotiation Merchandising Data Analysis B2B Marketing Relationship Building Commercial Acumen

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am excited to apply for the Supplier Marketing Manager E-Commerce position at Booksy. With over 3 years of experience in trade marketing and B2B partner marketing within e-commerce, I have a proven track record of activating suppliers and driving sell-out through strategic promotional campaigns.

In my previous role, I successfully negotiated exclusive offers and managed promotional calendars that increased supplier engagement and sales. My data-driven approach allowed me to optimize campaigns based on sell-out results, ensuring continuous improvement.

I am particularly drawn to Booksy's dynamic scale-up environment and the opportunity to shift supplier dynamics from push to pull. My fluency in Polish and English, combined with my commercial instinct, makes me well-suited to build strong supplier relationships and drive results.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of contributing to Booksy's growth.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

How would you approach a supplier who is hesitant to provide exclusive offers for the Booksy Store?
I would first understand their concerns by conducting a needs analysis, then present data on the increased visibility and sales potential from past campaigns. I would propose a trial period with minimal commitment to demonstrate value, and highlight the long-term partnership benefits.
Describe a time you used data to optimize a promotional campaign. What metrics did you use?
In a previous role, I analyzed click-through rates, conversion rates, and sell-out volumes for a seasonal campaign. I noticed low engagement on certain product categories and adjusted the homepage banners and cross-selling placements, resulting in a 20% increase in sales for those categories.
How do you manage a promotional calendar across multiple suppliers with competing priorities?
I prioritize based on sales potential, seasonality, and strategic fit. I use a shared calendar tool to align with suppliers, set clear deadlines, and hold regular check-ins. I also negotiate timing and exclusivity to avoid conflicts and maximize overall impact.
What strategies would you use to shift from pushing suppliers to having them proactively seek placement?
I would focus on delivering measurable ROI for early adopters, create case studies showcasing success, and develop a tiered partnership program with benefits for high-performing suppliers. Additionally, I would leverage data to demonstrate the platform's reach and influence.
How do you ensure a coherent purchasing path from homepage to product detail page during a campaign?
I map out the customer journey and ensure consistent messaging, imagery, and calls-to-action across all touchpoints. I collaborate with design and content teams to align banners, product listings, and descriptions. Post-campaign, I analyze drop-off points to refine the path.

Working in a rapidly growing, ever-changing scale-up comes with its own set of opportunities and challenges. If you prefer a stable environment, with clear processes and structures then, we’ve got to be honest, you won’t always find that here. However, if you enjoy inventively solving problems with others, helping create clarity when things get confusing, and prioritising your own path within ambiguity, then the chances are that you’ll love the opportunities available to grow your career at Booksy.

However, your ultimate goal is to shift this dynamic completely – proving our platform’s immense sales value so that Suppliers are constantly knocking on our door, pushing us to feature their products. We are looking for someone with a relentless commercial instinct who wakes up every morning asking, “What else can I sell today?” To achieve this, you will manage the marketing calendar with Suppliers, proactively suggest trade activations to drive successful sell-out, and build coherent purchasing paths to ensure continuity of marketing communication week-to-week.

Your responsibilities will include:

    • Managing Campaigns with Suppliers: Negotiating with Suppliers the terms of promotional campaigns, marketing budgets, exclusive offers, etc.
    • Supplier Activation: Ongoing contact with suppliers (weekly engagement), building and maintaining relationships to sustain their engagement in promoting themselves in the Booksy Store.
    • Commercial Moments: Identification and creation of key opportunities to increase sales based on seasonality, product category insights, or unique offers (e.g., Black Friday, Valentine’s Day).
    • Ongoing trade activation: Proactively suggesting products with high sell-out potential and driving sell-out with trade marketing and merchandising tools.
  • E-Merchandising:
    • Visual Display: Responsibility for the visual display of products in the store (managing banners, brand positioning on lists, cross-selling).
    • Purchasing Path: Ensuring a coherent and attractive purchasing path during marketing campaigns: Home Page (HP) → Product Listing Page (PLP) → Product Detail Page (PDP).
  • Results Analysis:
    • Monitoring and Reporting: Analyzing the effectiveness of conducted campaigns, sell-out results of advertised products, and purchasing behavior patterns.
    • Optimization: Continuously optimizing future actions based on conclusions from completed campaigns.
