My expertise in both regulated and organized electricity markets, along with a strong track record of negotiating complex agreements, aligns well with the responsibilities outlined.

My skills in data analysis and AI tools can optimize workflows and drive measurable results. I am eager to contribute to Meta's global energy strategy and help achieve its clean energy targets.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my background and skills can benefit Meta's energy team.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]

Can you describe your experience negotiating energy supply agreements in regulated versus deregulated markets?
In regulated markets, I focused on utility rate cases and long-term contracts, while in deregulated markets, I negotiated power purchase agreements and hedging strategies. For example, I secured a 10-year PPA in ERCOT that reduced costs by 15%.
How do you stay informed about regulatory changes that could impact energy supply?
I subscribe to industry publications, attend conferences, and participate in working groups. I also maintain relationships with regulators and market operators to get early insights.
Describe a time you had to manage multiple energy projects simultaneously. How did you prioritize?
I used a project management tool to track milestones and risks. I prioritized based on business impact and deadlines, and communicated regularly with stakeholders to align expectations.
How would you approach a situation where a utility's proposed rate increase significantly impacts Meta's data center costs?
I would analyze the rate case, engage with the utility to explore alternatives, and potentially intervene in the regulatory process. I would also assess options like on-site generation or alternative suppliers.
What experience do you have with integrating AI tools to optimize energy workflows?
I have used AI-based analytics to forecast energy demand and optimize procurement. For instance, I implemented a machine learning model that improved load forecasting accuracy by 20%, reducing hedging costs.
