Key Skills

Oncology Sales Account Management PET Imaging Radiology Market Access Strategic Planning Cross-functional Collaboration Contract Negotiation Customer Relationship Management Healthcare Compliance

I am excited to apply for the Oncology Account Manager position at GE HealthCare. With a strong background in pharmaceutical sales and a deep understanding of oncology diagnostics, I am confident in my ability to drive adoption of Cerianna and expand access to precision imaging.

My experience includes building strategic partnerships with imaging centers, hospitals, and referring physicians, as well as navigating complex reimbursement landscapes. I have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and developing territory plans that align with customer needs and company goals.

I am particularly drawn to GE HealthCare's mission of bringing clarity to patient care and am eager to contribute to a team that values urgency, empathy, and collaboration. My skills in virtual selling, contract negotiation, and cross-functional teamwork will enable me to succeed in this multifaceted role.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to your team and help drive life-changing outcomes for patients.

Can you describe your experience with selling diagnostic imaging agents or oncology products?
I have 5 years of experience selling oncology pharmaceuticals, including a PET imaging agent for prostate cancer. I worked with imaging centers to educate staff on clinical benefits, developed relationships with referring oncologists, and achieved 120% of quota in my first year.
How do you approach developing a territory plan for a product like Cerianna that has multiple call points?
I start by analyzing market data to identify high-potential imaging centers and referring physicians. Then I map out stakeholders, set objectives for each account, and prioritize based on volume and relationship strength. I collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on messaging and support.
Describe a time you overcame a barrier to product adoption at an imaging center.
At a previous role, an imaging center was hesitant due to reimbursement concerns. I worked with our market access team to provide a detailed analysis of coverage and patient out-of-pocket costs. I also arranged a peer-to-peer discussion with a satisfied customer, which led to a trial and eventually a full contract.
How do you stay updated on clinical guidelines and competitive landscape in oncology?
I subscribe to oncology journals like JCO, attend conferences like ASCO and SNMMI, and participate in internal training. I also set up Google alerts for key competitors and regularly discuss insights with medical science liaisons.
How would you handle a situation where a key referring physician is not interested in Cerianna?
I would first seek to understand their concerns by asking open-ended questions. Then I would share relevant clinical data and patient success stories. If they remain uninterested, I would identify other influencers in their network and explore alternative access points, such as through the imaging center's medical director.
