Sample interview questions
How do you structure an outbound prospecting campaign for a new DACH hospitality segment?

I begin by defining the ideal customer profile and relevant buyer personas, then research target accounts for operational pain points and technology signals. I create concise, localized messaging for email, phone, and LinkedIn, test a structured sequence, and review conversion data weekly to improve targeting and messaging.

Describe how you qualify an inbound lead before handing it to an Account Executive.

I use a discovery framework to understand the prospect's property portfolio, current systems, operational challenges, decision process, timeline, and potential fit. I confirm the business problem Apaleo can address, document insights clearly in HubSpot, and align with the Account Executive on recommended next steps.

How would you handle a German-speaking prospect who says they are satisfied with their current property-management system?

I would acknowledge their current setup and avoid pushing for an immediate replacement discussion. I would ask targeted questions about integration limitations, manual processes, scalability, and guest-experience goals, then position Apaleo's API-first and modular approach only where it connects to a stated priority.

What metrics would you monitor to improve your BDR performance?

I would track activity quality and outcomes across calls, emails, LinkedIn touches, reply rates, meetings booked, show rates, qualified opportunities, and pipeline created. I would segment results by persona, industry segment, and messaging sequence to identify where adjustments will have the greatest impact.

Give an example of how you stay resilient after repeated prospecting rejection.

I treat rejection as data rather than a personal outcome. I keep a consistent activity rhythm, review objections for patterns, seek feedback from peers and managers, and refine my approach while staying focused on the next high-quality conversation.
