Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the Principal Technical Program Manager (AI) position at Claritev. With over 10 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional technical programs and a deep background in AI/ML, I am excited about the opportunity to drive impactful AI initiatives in healthcare. My track record includes successfully delivering generative AI systems into production and managing portfolios that align closely with business strategy. I am particularly drawn to Claritev's mission of bending the cost curve in healthcare through innovation. I am confident that my skills in strategic planning, cross-team collaboration, and risk management will enable me to drive measurable outcomes for your AI portfolio. I look forward to discussing how I can contribute to your transformational journey.

Sincerely, [Your Name]

Describe your experience delivering a generative AI or agentic system from ideation to production. What were the key challenges and how did you overcome them?
I led the development of a generative AI chatbot for customer service, handling end-to-end delivery. Key challenges included data privacy compliance, model accuracy, and integration with legacy systems. We overcame them by partnering with legal for HIPAA alignment, implementing iterative testing with domain experts, and building APIs for seamless integration.
How do you prioritize AI initiatives across a portfolio with limited resources and competing business demands?
I use a structured framework that scores initiatives based on strategic alignment, business value, feasibility, and risk. I conduct quarterly planning sessions with stakeholders to redefine priorities and make trade-off decisions transparently. Regular portfolio reviews ensure we adapt to changing needs.
Can you provide an example of how you aligned executive stakeholders around a complex AI program?
In a previous role, I developed a unified roadmap across data science, engineering, and product teams. I held bi-weekly steering committee meetings with VPs to review progress, risks, and decisions. I used a visual dashboard to show how each initiative tied to business outcomes, which helped gain buy-in for resource allocation.
How do you ensure that AI solutions meet compliance requirements such as HIPAA?
I work closely with legal and compliance teams from the outset. I incorporate privacy-by-design principles, conduct regular impact assessments, and ensure data handling meets regulatory standards. I also implement rigorous testing for security and bias before production deployment.
Describe a time you managed a major risk or blocker in an AI program. How did you handle it?
During a model deployment, we discovered data drift that affected accuracy. I immediately convened a cross-functional team to investigate, implemented a monitoring system, and adjusted the training pipeline. I communicated transparently with stakeholders about the timeline impact and secured additional resources to mitigate further delays.

At Claritev, we pride ourselves on being a dynamic team of innovative professionals. Our purpose is simple – we strive to bend the cost curve in healthcare for all. Our dedication to service excellence extends to all our stakeholders — internal and external – driving us to consistently exceed expectations.
