Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the Market Executive, Americas position at Trip.com Group. With over a year of experience in hotel reservations and a strong understanding of OTA operations, I am confident in my ability to support your team in developing and sustaining partner relationships. My detail-oriented approach and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment align with the requirements of this role.

I have a proven track record of optimizing hotel product offerings and resolving disputes, ensuring a seamless customer experience. I am eager to contribute to Trip.com Group's mission of pursuing the perfect trip for a better world. Thank you for considering my application.

Sincerely, [Your Name]

Can you describe your experience working with hotel partners in a previous role?
In my previous role at a travel agency, I was responsible for managing relationships with over 20 hotel partners. I coordinated room types, rates, and availability to ensure competitive offerings. I also handled disputes and ensured smooth check-in processes, which improved partner satisfaction by 15%.
How do you prioritize tasks when managing multiple hotel partners simultaneously?
I use a combination of priority matrices and daily to-do lists. I categorize tasks by urgency and impact, focusing first on issues that affect customer bookings or partner revenue. For example, if a rate discrepancy arises, I resolve it immediately to avoid loss of bookings.
Describe a time when you had to work independently with minimal supervision. How did you ensure success?
In my previous job, I was assigned to manage a new market segment with no direct oversight. I set clear weekly goals, tracked progress using Excel, and scheduled regular check-ins with my manager to align on priorities. This approach helped me exceed targets by 20%.
How do you stay updated on market trends and competitors' offerings in the travel industry?
I regularly read industry reports from sources like Skift and Phocuswright, and monitor competitor platforms for rate changes and promotions. I also participate in webinars and network with peers to share insights.
Can you give an example of how you resolved a payment dispute between a partner and your company?
Once, a hotel partner disputed a commission payment due to a booking error. I reviewed the booking details, confirmed the error was on our side, and coordinated with both the partner and our finance team to issue a credit. I also implemented a verification step to prevent similar issues.
